Admissions for Entry into Nursery
The Headteacher makes all offers of nursery places. If you wish your child to start at our nursery you should complete an admissions form and return it to the school office as soon as possible. Children are allocated according to availability after a child's third birthday. We offer 15 hours free childcare in a variety of ways: moenings, afternoons or Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning or Wednesday afternoon, Thursday and Friday. We alsoi offer 30h for working parents with a code. Please apply for a 30h code at: https://www.gov.uk/apply-free-childcare-if-youre-working?step-by-step-nav=f517cd57-3c18-4bb9-aa8b-1b907e279bf9
You have to reconfirm your eligibility every 3 months. If you apply more than 3 months before the term starts, you’ll have to reconfirm your eligibility in your account in order to keep your code valid.
When to apply:
Your child’s birthday | When they can get their hours from | Recommended time to apply |
---|---|---|
1 September to 31 December | Term starting on or after 1 January | 15 October to 30 November |
1 January to 31 March | Term starting on or after 1 April | 15 January to 28 February |
1 April to 31 August | Term starting on or after 1 September | 15 June to 31 July |
The selection process follows a line of procedure:
Priority 1
- Children in public care or fostered under an arrangement made by the local authority.
- Pupils without a statement but who have Special Educational Needs, or with exceptional medical or mobility needs, that can only be met at a specific school.
Priority 2
Children with older brothers or sisters who will be at school at the start of the academic year and are living at the same address. This priority will not apply where the older sibling joined the sixth form from a different school.
Priority 3
We will give priority to parents who put their nearest school. If we have more applications than there are places, we will offer places first to children living nearest to the school (measured in a straight line).
Priority 4
We will give priority to parents who choose a Leeds school, which is not the one nearest to their home address. If we have more applications than there are places, we will offer places first to children living nearest to the school (measured in a straight line).
If you have recently moved into the area and wish your child to attend our nursery, admissions will be made based on availability.

Admissions for Entry into Reception
September admissions into Reception are organised wholly by the admissions team at Leeds City Council. The school does not have any control over these decisions.
If your child is due to start Reception in September, you will receive a letter from the admissions team in October or November. On this

General Admissions
Admissions at all other times into any year group will be carried out by the school office team and decisions will be made based on spaces available.
At whatever stage your child starts school with us we will ensure they settle in as quickly and happily as possible. Before your child starts with us, you will be invited in to have a meeting with the Headteacher, meet your new teacher and classroom, have a tour around the premises and receive all the relevant information you will require. We will aim to make this as smooth a transition as possible for you and your child. Please follow the link to admissions Leeds: Our school admissions policies (leeds.gov.uk)
